About The Role Please note: This is a temporary 4 month opportunity. This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 2-3 days on-site a week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities. ATB 101 is a 4 month work experience and engagement program with a summer intake. Our ATB 101 students play an integral role in the success of our business. As a member of the Central Underwriting Team, ATB 101 students will have the opportunity to learn the skill of underwriting Agriculture credit. Underwriters are credit solution experts, have a solid understanding of ATBs risk appetite and provide the advice necessary to help our business clients be successful. The ideal candidate will possess an inquisitive & growth mindset, a business aptitude with a Customer Obsessed philosophy and thrive in a virtual work environment. Accountabilities Communicate clearly with business partners to set expectations and collaborate across divisions to ensure business needs are met. Analyze financial statements, security and structure to assess risk and understand the customer needs. Complete Annual Renewals on a Business Risk Rating model. Ensure decisions are based on sound credit principals and in accordance with ATB lending policies and procedures. Identify and refer opportunities to the responsible Relationship Manager through clear communication. Participate in team meetings. Participate in ATB 101 student events. Skills, Experience & Requirements Be passionate and motivated about pursuing a career in banking. Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate from a Business or Agriculture degree program with a specialization in Accounting or Finance. Experience in SAP accounting system functionality would be an asset. Have a passion for data analytics and database management. Be able to effectively prioritize and manage your time well. Have a strong sense of personal accountability. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and takes personal accountability to ensure that deliverables are of strong quality. Come with an analytical mind. Be confident to ask questions, seek information, dissect problems, and suggest innovative solutions. Eager to roll up your sleeves and take on new challenges.
