As part of this role, you''ll oversee operations, supporting 6 Initial Attack Crews and ensuring seamless rotations while working from the main operations point in Dawson Creek. The Role As an Initial Attack Fire Crew Supervisor, your responsibilities will shift throughout the year. In the spring, you''ll focus on preparing for new staff and overseeing their training. During fire season, your role is to ensure the team is well-supported and performing effectively in wildfire response. In the fall and winter, you''ll help with hiring and ramping up for the next season. Qualifications Grade 12 plus 4 seasons forest fire related experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered ; AND Minimum 2 seasons of supervisory experience Valid Basic First Aid* (formally known as First Aid Ticket OFA Level 1) with Transportation endorsement; Successful completion of pre-employment fitness standard; Maintain personal weights standards as required for crew type ; Valid Class 5 drivers license Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: Incident Commander 5 or higher certification Strike Team Leader certification or higher Task Force Leader or Task Force Leader trainee certification Qualified Faller Assessor, Qualified Faller Trainer, Certified Faller or Faller in Training or industry equivalent.
