The Opportunity We are seeking several Camp Counsellors, who will guide large and small groups of children through exciting outdoor activities, games, interpretive talks, and hands-on learning. Camp Counsellors will ensure extraordinary experiences for our guests by creating a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere with a sense of belonging and respect. Reporting to the Manager, Education & Programming, Camp Counsellors will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of campers while working to encourage the development of new skills, create unforgettable memories, and build a strong connection to the Park, Zoo, and Leaf. Required Education, Training, and Experience Pursuing post-secondary education in the areas of Education, Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Environmental Studies/Sciences or related field is considered an asset. A minimum of two years'' experience working with children or in a leadership role is preferred. Experience with public speaking, coordinating group dynamics, and teaching youth is an asset. The ability to speak French and/or other languages is an asset. Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check mandatory for this position. Possession of a valid Manitoba Driver''s License, or the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role. Current First Aid and CPR. An equivalent combination of skills and experience may be considered.
