The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for up to five Graduate Teaching Assistant positions for the Mechanical Engineering portion of ME 113 Engineering Analysis I. ME 113 is a ten-week long course taken by all first-year mechanical engineering undergraduate students in the College of Engineering. Teaching Assistants are required for CAD instruction (Autodesk Inventor), grading course assignments, and delivering problem labs in various numerical analysis topics. All course activities occur during the period of February 24 April 29, 2026. Start Date: February 24, 2026 End Date: April 29, 2026 Rate of Pay: $24.87 per hour Required Number of Hours: up to 12 hrs/week per position Duration of Employment: Ten weeks Duties The Graduate Teaching Assistant reports directly to the Instructor responsible for the course. Specific duties will be assigned by the Instructor and may include one or more of the following: Demonstrating and/or assisting with the demonstration of problem/computer laboratories; CAD instruction (Autodesk Inventor); Grading assignments; and/or Other duties related to the course deemed appropriate by the Instructor(s). Skills and Abilities Minimum qualifications: Graduate student in good standing at the University of Saskatchewan. Demonstrated experience (e.g., undergraduate or graduate coursework, research or industrial experience, experience with specific software packages) that is relevant to the specific class or laboratory. Good English language oral and written communication skills Completion of the University of Saskatchewan online Laboratory Safety, and WHMIS training courses Ideal qualifications: MSc or PhD student in good standing in Mechanical Engineering with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Excellent English language oral and written communication skills Previous experience as an instructor or teaching assistant relevant to the topics in this course Familiarity with specific equipment used in the laboratory (if applicable) To apply for these positions Applications are received by email to Janai Russell ) and must include a current CV.
