Position Summary: The Green Initiatives Student supports sustainability and environmental responsibility efforts across the organization. This role assists in planning, promoting, and implementing green initiatives that reduce environmental impact and encourage sustainable practices among students, staff, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the development and implementation of sustainability and environmental programs Support waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation, and eco-friendly initiatives Help organize and promote green events, campaigns, and awareness initiatives Collect data, track progress, and help report on sustainability metrics Engage students through education, outreach, and communications Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a post-secondary student at St. Clair College Interest in environmental sustainability, climate action, or green initiatives Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar) Prior experience with sustainability initiatives is an asset but not required Skills & Competencies: Passion for environmental responsibility Strong attention to detail Time management and reliability Creative problem-solving Willingness to learn and take initiative
