Required Position Full-Time Appointment Responsibilities Vacancy Status: Existing position This position will report directly to the Business Manager of the Faculty of Education and Health. The incumbent will become an integral part of the School of Nursing community. They will support the day-to-day running of the School. They will assist the Director and the Clinical Placement Coordinator. They may also assist with queries from students, faculty, and other individuals or groups within the university community. Schedule and attend School academic meetings for example, Full Faculty Committee, Academic Council,Program Committee and program meetings to take minutes; Maintain organization of the School of Nursing electronic and paper-based filing systems; Support the Administrative Assistant for the School of Nursing with general tasks for example, mail collection and distribution, maintaining and updating School website; Support collection of data through Tableau as requested; Support the Director of the School of Nursing as needed including with scheduling of meetings with various internal and external partners; Assist the Clinical Placement Coordinator ; Assist with organizing, maintaining, and verifying student mandatory documentation and virtual placementfiles that are stored in InPlace, while adhering to the Health Sciences North and Laurentian policies and procedures; Review the documents submitted by students and ensure that the proper guidelines are followed. Contact students who have not submitted their documentation in a timely manner; Correspond with various agencies across the community to gather information for placements; Provide support in the facilitation of seminars and orientation sessions; Assist with the implementation of changes to the placement manuals ; Assist with maintaining and updating the list of agencies and agency qualifications; Provide Administrative support to the School when required (general Finance, responding to queries from students, greet visitors at the school, assist with some workloads, sessional offerings); Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Two (2) year post-secondary education; Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suites and Google Suites, Adobe, D2L, Zoom; Demonstrated ability to navigate the web, to inform students about policies, courses offered, progression and procedures; Ability to effectively relay information verbally or electronically to students; Proven ability to work in collaboration with colleagues and partners; Demonstrated ability to work with staff, students, and faculty in complex and challenging environments ; Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines; Knowledge of InPlace is an asset; Ability to work fluently (verbal and written) in both official languages, French and English, is required.
