About the Role The Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Officer leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of SNOLAB''s EH&S program. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating the unique hazards associated with SNOLAB''s underground facility and advanced research operations. The role ensures EH&S policies, processes, and resources are aligned, integrated, and consistent with organizational standards, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices. Strong expertise in compliance and regulatory matters, with the ability to develop and execute strategies that meet legislative obligations and organizational standards. Skilled in leading, coaching, and mentoring team members to support professional development, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the workplace. Proficient in root cause analysis, statistical evaluation, incident investigations, and reporting to inform decision-making and improve safety outcomes.
