We are seeking an experienced and passionate Level 3 Child Care Supervisor to join our team at The Kids Planet. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily classroom operations, mentor and guide ECE staff, and ensure children receive high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining licensing compliance and fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere for children, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support daily classroom operations, ensuring adherence to centre policies, licensing regulations, and early learning frameworks. Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 Early Childhood Educators and support staff. Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote children''s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity. Observe and assess children''s progress and behaviours, maintaining accurate documentation and sharing relevant information with parents and the team. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities, materials, and routines as needed. Build strong, trusting relationships with families by providing regular updates and responding to questions or concerns. Assist with staff scheduling, training, and coverage planning as directed by the Director. Participate in program planning, curriculum enhancement, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times. Act as designate in charge when the Director or Assistant Director is unavailable, as per centre policy. Qualifications & Requirements Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification (advanced diploma/degree as defined by Alberta provincial standards) Required. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education, including lead educator or room lead responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement curriculum plans. Proven experience mentoring and supporting other staff members. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficient in computer operation and administrative tasks (documentation, emails, record systems). Ability to reliably commute to the work location. Preferred Qualifications (Assets) Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs. Current First Aid/CPR certification. Training in child guidance, inclusive practices, or health & safety. Additional language skills are an asset.
