Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Dentist to see our teenager population with adult dentition to join our practice focused exclusively on children''s oral health or someone that is incredible with children and teenagers. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for pediatric patient care, and experience working within a pediatric dental environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients while working in a supportive and professional setting. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental care tailored to patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. Perform dental procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and other endodontic treatments specific to teenagers. Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging tools to ensure accurate assessments and effective treatment. Maintain detailed and accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their guardians on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Collaborate with dental team members to ensure efficient clinic operations using systems like Dentrix. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric dentistry techniques such as four-handed dentistry and oral surgery when necessary. Stay current with developments in pediatric dentistry, medical terminology, dental terminology, and best practices for patient care. Requirements DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice dentistry in the state. Proven experience in general dentistry with a focus on pediatric patients; previous dental clinic or dental office experience preferred. Knowledge of pediatric-specific procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication for children. Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Dentrix. Strong understanding of medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and medical imaging techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with young patients and their families using appropriate medical and dental terminology. Skills in infection control practices, aseptic technique, and maintaining high standards of patient safety. Experience performing oral surgery procedures related to pediatrics is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to pediatric dentistry is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
