Job Description

Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Education: Master''s degree Experience: 5 years or more Tasks Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Negotiate offers from suppliers Consult with suppliers Review quotations Determine contract terms and conditions Establish delivery schedules Monitor progress of delivery schedules Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization Store, update and retrieve financial data Review and process claims against suppliers Provide emergency response when required Prepare purchase orders Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and records Perform administrative tasks Negotiate rates and terms Maintain inventory of stored material Maintain inventory of supplies Compile inventory reports Organize and maintain inventory Computer and technology knowledge MS Word Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software MS Excel MS Outlook Material requirements planning (MRP) system Area of work experience Purchasing, procurement and contracts Personal suitability Time management Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
