Our company is looking for a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities: Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards; Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and any other required paperwork; Liaise with suppliers to order any required parts and maintain inventory; Read and interpret owner, operator, and manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications to complete job tasks; Test diagnose, and repair equipment including: diesel/propane powered lift trucks, and other heavy construction equipment; Clean, lubricate and perform routine repairs; Other related duties as required; Adjust, overhaul, repair, engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axels, and other assemblies; Complete maintenance reports and required documentation; Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems; Test equipment to ensure proper performance; Estimate parts and labor costs; Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, reduce turnaround times and streamline work processes; Complete all duties in accordance with company health and safety regulations. Requirements: Experience with maintenance welding is an asset; Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various job tasks; Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner; Must possess a valid driver''s license; Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks; Time management skills; Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team; Minimum 3-5 years of experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment or related machinery; Basic language skills in English and Punjabi Strong attention to detail; Decision making, analytical and problem solving skills; Joining is immediate and opening is at Abbotsford location. Our company is looking for a Helper for our workshop at Abbotsford Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day assistance within the workshop; Help mechanics perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes; To checks tires and brakes; Move tools, equipment and other materials; Assists mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and Lights Other related duties as required; Requirements: Prior experience of working in a mechanical workshop is preferred but not mandatory; Language skills in English and Punjabi; A valid driver''s license is an asset.
