Job Overview Dispatching daily over 50 trucks working throughout Edmonton, Alberta and area to support multiple divisions, including TDG Fluid Hauling for production/completion, pressure and vac truck, municipal services, dispatching considered an asset. We have one open position in Edmonton Alberta. This is a full-time salaried supervisory position, with preference given to those who hold experience within the industries and areas we serve. Shift is 8/6 rotation based on 12-hour days with on call requirements. Starting annual salary between $100,000 - $120,000 and dependent on experience. Responsibilities Organize and dispatch a group of 50+operators as well as third party contractors, report activities to management Answer incoming customer inquiries Observe and report operator and swamper behaviours to meet fit for duty requirements Communicate customer on-site orientation requirements with management Maintain good relations with customers and have a good understanding of customer needs Work closely with sales to ensure all customer requirements are met in a timely fashion Verify field tickets with driver timesheets Monitor e-log system in accordance to Federal Hours of Service and DOT requirements Work closely with office administrators to verify employee time and ticket information is completed accurately, daily Follow all company policies and procedures, work as go between operators and management Have a working knowledge of customer policies and procedures; ensure that staff are aware of them and are following Participate in daily operational meeting Report, review and complete forms as required, including operator hazards and incidents Participate in development of continuous operation improvement and operator reviews Additional duties as required Skills Team builder with good communication skills and a capacity to engage audiences across all levels Capability to manage conflict and change effectively Good analytical and reasoning capabilities Consultative orientation and efficient time management skills Ability to act with discretion and treat confidential information appropriately Customer service focused on successful results Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple activities and deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to work well independently Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated Follow and champion company and legislative policies and procedures Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills Experience/Certifications Minimum 3 years dispatching fluid tank truck operators High School Diploma, post secondary an asset Minimum Class 5 driver license Class 1 or 3 experience and driver license and asset H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid certificates required Experience in and extensive knowledge of fluid hauling and trucking industry Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel Experience and skill using E-log, Smart Phone Apps and other industry software.
