Visit us at Position Summary: The Rope Access Technical Authority is responsible for the overall integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement of CAMs Rope Access Program. This position serves as the primary technical and governance authority for IRATA-related matters, ensuring full alignment with IRATA ICOP, TACS, By-Laws, and applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will act as CAMs main point of contact with IRATA, conduct internal and recertification audits, lead incident investigations related to rope access operations, and ensure all rope access policies and procedures are reviewed and authorized prior to executive approval. This role also provides leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to rope access teams while supporting operational planning and program growth. Key Responsibilities: Ensure company-wide compliance with IRATA ICOP, TACS, By-Laws, and applicable regulatory requirements. Serve as CAMs primary point of contact for IRATA communications, bulletins, and industry updates. Conduct and submit annual internal audits and support IRATA recertification audits as required. Maintain and submit annual declarations confirming continued compliance with IRATA membership standards. Review, authorize, and maintain rope access policies and procedures prior to executive approval. Ensure CAM representation at IRATA AGMs, technical meetings, and industry forums. Act as the lead authority for all rope access-related incident investigations. Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective action implementation for rope access work. Evaluate, approve, and monitor rope access equipment to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Maintain and submit work performance and safety statistics in alignment with IRATA requirements. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to rope access technicians and supervisors. Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all rope access operations. Support training, certification maintenance, and competency development for rope access personnel. Assist with pre-construction planning, including bidding support, resource planning, and scheduling. Provide technical input during project planning and execution to support safe and efficient rope access operations. Collaborate with operations, safety, and leadership teams to support the growth and effectiveness of the Rope Access Program. Perform additional duties as required to support operational excellence and program development. Qualifications: Current and valid IRATA Level 3 certification. Minimum of five (5) years of leadership or supervisory experience within the rope access industry. Strong knowledge of IRATA ICOP, TACS, By-Laws, and rope access safety standards. Solid understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels. Post-secondary education in business, construction, engineering, or a related field. Experience supporting construction planning, estimating, and resource coordination. Experience working in highly regulated or industrial environments.
