About the role Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Business Development is responsible for positioning Airudi as a key strategic partner for organizations across Alberta. The primary mandate is to build and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts that will support our growth objectives in the region. This strategic role contributes to the modernization of business processes by using AI to enhance existing workforce management technologies. Organizations face major challenges related to operational efficiency, talent management, cost control, skills development, safety and resource optimization. The Director acts as a catalyst, transforming complex problems into tangible commercial success and meaningful partnerships for our clients. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader passionate about innovation, with strong business acumen and a drive to create human centered value by transforming the world of work one organization at a time. Responsibilities Business Development and Sales Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute growth strategies to achieve monthly sales contact and recurring revenue objectives. Drive growth in the targeted region by developing a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. Orchestrate the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, using CRM tools to maximize efficiency. Navigate complex decision making structures by engaging the right stakeholders at the right time. Strategic Partnerships and Market Expansion Identify, develop and secure strategic partnerships to open new market segments and create long term growth opportunities. Represent the company at conferences, trade shows and key regional events while supporting marketing initiatives. Build relationships and collaborate with relevant public, parapublic, private and association stakeholders in Alberta to respond to technology focused RFPs. Monitor regional and national government opportunities related to digital transformation, workforce optimization and modernization of management systems. Build connections with economic, sectoral and academic ecosystems to influence R and D and co create innovative solutions tailored to the regional market. Maintain strategic monitoring of technological trends and the evolution of the AI market to anticipate future needs and maintain our competitive advantage. Client Approach and Consultative Selling Act as a strategic advisor to clients and prospects to identify optimization opportunities, create synergies between human capital and technological investments and accelerate success. Conduct deep analysis of organizational, HR and technological challenges to demonstrate the tangible value of our solutions. Lead collaboration with the technical commercial team throughout the sales cycle. Diagnose specific needs to propose the optimal combination of custom and standard solutions. Quantify ROI by measuring the concrete impact on human and operational performance. Post-Sale Operational Excellence Ensure continuous relationship management as the strategic point of contact throughout the client lifecycle. Facilitate the transition to the delivery team while maintaining oversight of client satisfaction. Grow the business relationship by identifying emerging needs, upsell and cross sell opportunities. Document learnings and best practices to strengthen our commercial approach. What You Bring 7 to 12 years of experience in complex B2B sales and or strategic partnerships, ideally in SaaS, AI or workforce management technologies. Proven experience opening new markets and securing strategic partnerships, especially with public or institutional stakeholders. Established network or demonstrated ability to quickly develop a strong presence with key organizations in the Alberta market. Strong consultative selling approach, with excellent listening skills and client satisfaction orientation. Understanding of public procurement processes and regulatory frameworks applicable in Alberta. Strong skills in negotiation, relationship management and strategic account management. Strategic vision and results oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and seize growth opportunities. Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence applied to organizational performance. Mastery of CRM tools and pipeline management processes. Excellent organizational, planning and teamwork skills. High level of autonomy. Excellent command of English, spoken and written. French is an asset. Availability for frequent travel across Alberta.
