They are looking for a Director, Assurance & Advisory to join their team!Why Work HereVery stable, long-term organizationSenior visibility and influence with regular reporting to senior leadership and the Audit CommitteeStrong total compensation package inclusive of competitive base salary, top tier bonus and pension matching programsAbout the OpportunityAssurance & Advisory ExecutionLead the maintenance and evolution of A&As audit methodology, governance documents, and quality assurance program.Oversee planning activities, including development and monitoring of group objectives, the Audit Plan, resourcing, and budgeting.Manage the preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual reporting on A&A activities to the Audit Committee and senior management.Oversee the preparation and delivery of the annual internal audit opinion.Manage the tracking of audit findings and facilitate follow-up by the audit team.Lead the development and implementation of A&As training plan.Oversee the audit management tool (Workiva), ensuring it supports effective execution and reporting of audit activities.Oversee administrative aspects of the function, including drafting internal communications and maintaining the audit intranet page.Provide guidance and coaching to team members on audit methodology and standards.Business PartnershipDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that A&As work is well aligned with organizational priorities.Serve as a connector across the organization, embedding enterprise-wide priorities into A&As practices.Demonstrate transparency and a no surprises approach with senior management and the Audit Committee.People LeadershipLead and support recruitment and onboarding activities for A&A.Provide coaching and mentorship to staff on methodology, standards, and practice management.Foster an inclusive team environment built on trust and a safe-to-speak-up culture.Promote continuous professional development and a mindset of continuous improvement within the team.Culture CarrierDemonstrate the highest ethical standards and role-model companys Guiding Principles of integrity, high performance, and partnership.Provide thought leadership on audit practice management, methodology, and reporting.Encourage innovation and improvement in how A&A delivers its mandate.About YouUndergraduate degree required, preferably in accounting, business, finance, or technology; a postgraduate degree is an asset.CPA/CA and CIA strongly preferred; other relevant designations are an asset.Experience in internal audit is required; prior experience in a professional practice or methodology role is strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience with Board and senior management reporting.Knowledge of audit methodologies, standards, and best practices.Experience managing audit reporting cycles and preparing internal audit opinions is an assetSelf-managed, flexible, and able to adapt to shifting priorities.Self-motivated with a hands-on approach, while appreciating diversity of thought and opinions.Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex concepts effectively.Strong PowerPoint skills; working knowledge of Workiva and Tableau is an asset.Strong judgment, creativity, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to process large volumes of information and draw meaningful conclusions.Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.Demonstrated willingness to learn and stay abreast of professional and organizational developments.Salary Range$160,000 - $190,000 / yearHow to ApplyClick the Apply Now button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
