Job Title Live-in Caregiver for Elderly Person Job Type Full-time, Permanent Live-in position Employer Private Household Job Location Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Wage $22.00 per hour (3540) hours per week Overtime paid according to Ontario employment standards Benefits Paid vacation and statutory holidays as per Ontario Employment Standards Act Live-in accommodation and meals provided Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable Live-in Caregiver to provide personal care and assistance to an elderly individual in a private household in Sudbury, Ontario. The caregiver will support daily living activities while ensuring the safety, comfort, and emotional well-being of the client. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with daily activities, including mobility, light exercises, and engagement in recreational or social activities Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying Administer medications as directed by family or healthcare professionals Monitor the clients condition and report changes Provide companionship and emotional support Accompany the client to appointments or outings when required Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment Requirements Completion of secondary school Certificate in Personal Support Worker (PSW) course or equivalent caregiver training At least 1 year of relevant caregiving experience, preferably with elderly individuals Ability to communicate effectively in English First Aid and CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain) Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy Ability to work independently in a private household Willing to live in the employers residence Work Setting Employers private residence Elderly individual requiring daily assistance due to age-related needs Accommodation and Meals This is a live-in position. A private, furnished room and meals are provided at no cost to the employee, in accordance with federal caregiver program requirements.
