This is a full-time, permanent role joining a collaborative, innovative clinical team of three clinicians in a highly agile environment where timelines shift quickly. The Senior Manager brings deep oncology nursing expertise to guide clinical quality, optimize patient experience, and ensure programs meet regulatory, clinical, and operational standards. You will serve as a key clinical advisor across patient support programs, reimbursement escalations, treatment pathways, and therapeutic areas helping the organization deliver consistent, high-quality care while shaping future program design. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of funded vs. non-funded oncology medications, reimbursement rules, provincial access differences, and how patient support programs truly function end-to-end. Role Overview The Oncology Senior Manager, Clinical is a senior clinical expert who provides oncology therapeutic guidance, evaluates patient program design, and ensures clinical excellence across all touchpoints. You will: Act as the primary clinical SME for oncology programs Guide patient pathways, program design, quality initiatives, and reimbursement escalations Support business development initiatives by providing clinical insight when pitching new programs (timelines range from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on client demand) Work cross-functionally with operations, reimbursement, quality, patient experience, and leadership teams Keep the team current on oncology treatment trends, policies, and funded medication changes Support audits, incident management, and continuous quality improvement Contribute to training, coaching, and team enablement across clinical and non-clinical stakeholders There are no direct reports, but the team is growing, and there is strong long-term leadership potential. Responsibilities Clinical Expertise & Program Support Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on the oncology patient journey Provide clinical insight for scripting, patient pathways, FAQs, escalation handling, and program design Support daily operations of patient support programs, ensuring clinical accuracy and compliance Stay current on treatment standards, emerging therapeutics, and health system policy changes Reimbursement & Access Advisory Guide teams on funded vs. non-funded medication options, provincial differences, and access challenges Support reimbursement teams on escalations and complex cases Advise on Drug Access Navigator considerations and specialty pharmacy workflows Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Support audits, non-conformance reviews, and incident management Develop metrics, processes, and quality standards to improve patient services Participate in quarterly business reviews and provide strategic program insights Internal Collaboration & Development Act as an internal consultant for new program resources or redesign initiatives Partner with Clinical Directors to strengthen quality, outcomes, and team performance Contribute to training material, documentation, clinical guidance, and best practices Support cross-functional working groups, committees, and initiatives Qualifications Required Active, unrestricted nursing license in Canada (must-have) Strong expertise in funded vs. non-funded oncology therapies, reimbursement pathways, and patient access 35 years of oncology or hematology nursing experience Excellent assessment, communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care coordination skills Strong written/verbal communication and stakeholder collaboration Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting timelines Preferred & Highly Valued de Souza Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification or ONS equivalent BScN or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with patient support programs or Drug Access Navigator roles Knowledge of Canadian/provincial health systems, reimbursement rules, and specialty pharmacy services Bilingual (French/English) is an asset Bonus Experience Previous experience in specialty pharmacy, PSP operations, or reimbursement coordination Involvement in program audits, CQI, or clinical process design Cross-functional exposure to operations, case management, or pharma support programs Comfort presenting clinical perspectives during new program pitches or proposals What We Offer Competitive Base Salary Bonus: ~12% annually (company + individual performance) Vacation: 4 weeks Remote work model with periodic travel (~1 day/month depending on projects) Reimbursed mileage, meals, and travel expenses Opportunities to grow into senior leadership roles within a scaling clinical organization Work in an agile, innovative environment alongside highly skilled clinicians and cross-functional partners Direct impact on patient outcomes, program quality, and oncology care delivery across Canada Why work with Brunel?
