Mechanical Engineer Building DesignLocation: OntarioEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience Level: 4-8 yearsSalary: $90k - $130k About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team. In this role, you will design mechanical building systems for commercial, institutional, and mission critical projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, code-compliant, and coordinated mechanical solutions that meet client and project requirements.Key Responsibilities- Design mechanical building systems including HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, controls, and specialty systems.- Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, equipment selections, and calculations.- Develop 2D and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD for coordinated building system layouts.- Work closely with architectural, electrical, structural, and other engineering teams to ensure integrated designs.- Conduct site visits, field reviews, and support construction administration activities.- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and industry best practices.- Assist with project planning, cost estimation, technical reporting, and QA/QC processes.Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.- P.Eng designation or actively working toward professional licensure.- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical building design (commercial, institutional, or mission critical projects).- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.- Strong understanding of Canadian mechanical and building codes, standards, and design principles.- Experience with mission critical environments such as data centers, healthcare, labs, or highperformance facilities.- Knowledge of HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Trace).- Familiarity with sustainability practices or certifications (LEED, WELL, Green Globes).- Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.What You Need to Do NowIf you feel this position would be a good fit for your skillset, please apply below or forward your resume to , and if your resume has been selected for an interview, we will be in touch directly.This posting is for an existing vacancy with the organization.AI may be used in the screening process for this role.
