Job Title: Janitorial / Housekeeping SupervisorWage: $26.50 $29.00/hour (DOE)Start Date: ASAPPosition Type: Full-TimeDepartment: OperationsReports To: Site ManagerPosition SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Janitorial / Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within commercial and/or industrial facilities. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, coordinating schedules, and ensuring all services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to specification.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, customer service experience, and a commitment to quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial and housekeeping staffPlan, assign, and manage employee work schedulesInspect completed work to ensure it meets established standards and specificationsTrain staff on work procedures, safety practices, and proper use of equipmentInvestigate service or equipment issues and implement corrective actionsCoordinate cleaning activities with other departments as neededMonitor inventory and ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working orderAssist with cleaning duties when requiredSelect appropriate cleaning products and materials for various surfaces and environmentsQualifications & SkillsPrevious supervisory experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities servicesStrong leadership, delegation, and team-building skillsExcellent customer service and problem-solving abilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesComfortable using basic computer programs (email, spreadsheets, payroll or inventory systems)Education & ExperienceAssociates degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience6 months to 1 year of related supervisory or facilities experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)Work Environment & Physical RequirementsExposure to wet/humid conditions, cleaning chemicals, mechanical equipment, noise, and varying temperaturesFrequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reachingAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel up to 20% for training purposesStrong attendance, reliability, and professionalismEqual Opportunity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
