Position Summary As a Psychologist and our Homewood Health Site Coordinator, Waterloo Regional Psychology Consortium (WRPC), you will be an integral part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients, customers, learners. What you''ll be doing As Site Coordinator, WRPC Working closely with the WRPC (APPIC / CCPIC approved psychology residency program), provide leadership in the development and execution of the Psychology Residency Program at HHC Establish rotation schedules for each resident through consultation and discussion with incoming residents and the respective HHC programs Solicit and review learning plans for each resident at the outset of the training year, midpoint and final evaluations for each resident per rotation, and solicit and review supervisor / rotation evaluations completed by each resident per rotation Ensure all residents meet requirements for placement completion Meet regularly with EVP, Workplace Mental Health & Clinical Services, responsible for this initiative to discuss issues related to the training program Maintain a high level of competence and professionalism in psychology training and supervision best practices Evaluate and communicate recommendations for utilization of space, space needs, equipment, personnel and other resources as needed Attend WRPC meetings virtually and in person, as appropriate and contribute to their Seminar Series Ensure trainee clinical files are kept uptodate and adhere to policy Coordinate review of trainee applications with WRPC Attend interviews and participate in the ranking and selection of WRPC resident candidates and correspond with accepted applicants as required Provide supervision to Psychologists during their registration year with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. In the Health Centre Provide psychological assessment and treatment services across multiple programs, including Mood, Anxiety, Trauma, Addiction and Eating Disorders Conduct group psychotherapy sessions using bestpractice treatment approaches Participate in quality improvement projects, design psychotherapy groups and develop psychoeducational materials Actively participate in interdisciplinary clinical meetings Liaise with the patient''s referral sources and other external agencies (DND, VAC, WSIB, others) connected to the patient, to provide clinical updates and facilitate aftercare as needed Participate in meetings with family and / or the patient''s close associates as clinically indicated Collaborate and communicate with other team members to assure consistency in program philosophy and treatment practice and delivery Write psychological reports based on psychometric assessments that include clinical findings, diagnostic impressions, treatment implications and recommendations Facilitate interpersonal therapy and psychodynamic groups What we''re looking for PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and licensed to practice in Ontario 2 + years'' clinical experience with adults in the areas of anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, eating disorders and other mental health disorders; expertise in a clinical specialty 2 + years'' experience in quality improvement and leadership / management Training, education and experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities Expertknowledge in program development, administrative principles and evaluation techniques Demonstrated skills and experience in assessment, treatment and research Proven leadership skills, excellent problem solving and conflict resolution Demonstrated success leading psychodynamic groups Ability to lead strategic operational changes combined with critical thinking and analytical skills Collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care Ability to create productive working relationships with team members Excellent judgment and decision making skills Highly developed organizational and timemanagement skills Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with technology including MS Office As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Homewood Health Centre requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
