Job Description

Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) is expanding its roster of Project Advisors to strengthen support for the growing number of clean technology projects it funds across Alberta. Project Advisors play a critical role in helping ERA-funded organizations successfully deliver their projectsfrom the moment funding is announced through to completion. Advisors work closely with funding recipients to review project plans and budgets, guide change management processes, participate in project steering committees, assess technical submissions, and approve key deliverables and financial claims. They also help ensure final project reports meet ERAs rigorous requirements and capture meaningful outcomes. Applicants to ERAs Project Advisor Database must bring a strong blend of technical expertise, project management experience, and professional judgment. Candidates are expected to hold a post-secondary degree in science or engineering and have at least 10 years of experience managing or coordinating projects, including reviewing technical reports and overseeing budgets; experience with research funding, innovation projects, PMP certification, and financial analysis are considered assets. Successful applicants must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear guidance, navigate difficult conversations, and translate complex technical material into plain language. They must also be adept at record-keeping and reporting, with strong digital literacy and experience using project, grant, or financial management systems; SharePoint experience is preferred. Applicants must also uphold high standards of confidentiality and professionalism and be available to support projects during regular business hours for a minimum of 1015 hours per week. To maintain sufficient capacity throughout the year, ERA plans to engage multiple Project Advisor service providers at the same time, with specific assignments made on a project-by-project basis as funding rounds progress. By strengthening this advisory network, ERA is reinforcing its commitment to supporting innovators and accelerating the development and deployment of technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and deliver economic benefits for Albertans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
