Overview Airbus Helicopters Canada Ltd is seeking a Quality Inspection professional to support Assembly, Paint, Trim, Shipping, Lay-up, Core, and related inspections. This role focuses on visual and dimensional inspection, nonconformity management, and continuous improvement through root cause analysis. Responsibilities Verify that inserts, components, etc. are installed as per drawing. Perform visual inspections for improper or insufficient coverage, rough surfaces, pitting, dust inclusions, orange peel, tears, sagging or blistering. Inspect parts to planned MIDs and inspection documents, drawings, etc. Record nonconformities and quarantine nonconforming parts with red tags. Create and maintain inspection plans and procedures. Participate in and lead root cause and corrective action processes using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools, etc. Perform First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements. Execute inspections to planned weekly and daily KPIs to Assembly Inspection Plans. Serve as a guide to Assembly technicians by sharing requirements and acceptance criteria for inspection. Participate in all initial and recurrent training to maintain certifying staff authorities. Verification of tool validity. Visual inspection and inspection of parts to planned MIDs and documentation. Provide support across specified inspection domains (Assembly, Paint, Trim, Shipping, Lay-up, Core). Qualifications Education: College Diploma (Mechanical Engineering Technician or Technologist) or relevant experience. Experience: 5 years of composite experience (Manufacturing/Assembly Inspection), specifically with a Quality Assurance System (ISO 9001, AS 9100). NDT/Ultrasonic inspection experience is an asset. Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Ability to work under broad supervision; independent and team-oriented; attention to detail; effective time management; professional relationships with internal/external stakeholders including regulatory and quality-certified agencies; ability to work under pressure; excellent verbal and written communication; problem solving; ability to read blueprints; ability to use measurement tools.
