Position Title: Global Tech Co-op - Data Engineer / Analyst Position Type: Temporary - Full-Time Grade: Grade 02 Requisition ID: 40043 About The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Engineer/Analyst co-op student to join our dynamic team for a four-month work term beginning in May 2026. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in data engineering and analytics, providing an ideal environment to develop your technical skills, work collaboratively on impactful projects, and contribute to innovative solutions within our organization. What Youll Be Doing This position will be based in our Florenceville office, with the expectation of working onsite/in-office three days a week. You will be working on data engineering pipelines that will cleanse, transform, and produce data for Power BI reports to consume. Bring data from new sources into the data platform to produce insights on them. Creating Power BI dashboards to showcase code quality and improvements over time. Documentation and translation of business rules to develop technical code using Python, SQL, and PySpark to produce insights. Working with a team locally and distributed across the organization to achieve project deliverables You will learn how to build data analytics pipelines end to end; from gathering requirements to producing the finished product. Best practices for developing software and test-driven development to build quality products. How to translate business requirements into code. The ability to gather and understand complex problems and use a variety of tools to solve them. How to work and communicate with various teams across the enterprise. What Youll Need To Be Successful Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of university, seeking a Computer Science or equivalent bachelors or masters degree. Experience with PySpark is preferred. Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI is preferred. Experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services preferred. Systematic approach to problem-solving. Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization. Proficient in writing Python code is required. Proficient at writing queries and validating results using SQL is required. About The Team The Data Engineer/Analyst co-op student will assist the six-person team located in our Florenceville office and the other 60+ team members globally in ensuring a high standard of data quality and increasing the trust in data for the enterprise. The Data Engineer/Analyst team is part of the broader Data Engineering team. Its focus is ensuring high-quality data for the business, increasing trust in data, and enabling more accurate insights. Hybrid and Compensation Hybrid Compensation Package $23.00 - $26.00 CAD hourly The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
