Our wonderful long term sitter is no longer able to provide before and after school care for our 2 boys, so we are in URGENT need of someone to help us beginning on Mon, Jan. 19th. We have 2 sons, aged 6 and 10yrs old. Experience caring for children with ASD is a big asset, though not required. Our 6yo is non-verbal, but can communicate his needs/wants fairly effectively. He is very sweet, loving and pleasant - sometimes a little mischievous (as a lot of 6yo boys are), so requires close supervision and patience :) he has a very curious mind and loves to explore! He enjoys going to school, so drop-offs are a breeze. Hours are Monday-Friday every morning from 7:25am-8:55am and afternoons from 3pm-5/6pm on most days of the week, but some afternoons wont be needed as my husband can make it in time to pick up the boys from school. These days that has usually been twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. The caregiver will be asked to come to our home in the morning, then walk the boys to school (located on our street, 7min walk for the little one , driving is also fine) and then pick up the kids from school and bring them home, helping with providing light snacks after school, no housework.
