We are a family in Halifax, Nova Scotia seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced part-time, live-out nanny to support our family beginning May 2026, when I return to work. We have an 8-month-old daughter and a full-time daycare placement, so this role is primarily to provide coverage around our variable work and on-call schedules, as well as occasional support while I prepare for my medical exams. I am a medical resident working in Halifax, and my husband is a physician who works primarily from home but travels to New Glasgow two days per week. Our schedule means we are looking for someone who is flexible and dependable. Childcare needs include: During my husbands on-call week (one week [M-F], every five weeks): o Evening care before bedtime o Possible light meal preparation On days my husband is working in New Glasgow (two days a week) o Picking up our daughter from daycare (in Halifax on Barrington St.) o Possible light meal preparation There will also be one to two days a month in which we may need early morning childcare, beginning at 0600 with daycare drop off at 0730.
