Seeking a nurturing and reliable nanny to care for our daughter in Burnaby, British Columbia. About Us: We are a husband and wife with an 8 month old daughter and a 5 year old labradoodle. Our daughter is a happy, go-lucky kid who loves to play, dance and is learning to walk. I work from home and will be around to breastfeed or provide coverage for breaks throughout the day. About the Position: This is a live-out position with a competitive wage of $20.00 per hour. We are a registered employer with the CRA so paystubs/T4s will be provided with the appropriate remittances regardless of payment method (cash/cheque/e-transfer/direct deposit). We require assistance 4 days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from ~7am-4pm and Monday and Wednesdays midday from ~11am-3pm starting in January. We are located next to Gilmore Skytrain and have visitor parking available. Note: Driving is not required for this job. About You: The ideal candidate will have experience caring for young children, infant CPR and first aid training, and a clean police record. Must be comfortable with dogs as we have a black labradoodle and a non-smoker. Bonus if you speak French! Responsibilities include feeding, changing, supporting with nap time and engaging in developmental activities with our daughter. Light housekeeping and meal prep is needed such as tidying play areas and washing baby bottles/dishes. As needed, helping with other related activities for the home (loading/unloading dishwasher, meal prep, etc) during nap times. The ability to adhere to our daughters routine and communicate effectively with us is paramount.
