Job Description

You are a Drilling Locator with experience supporting utility maintenance and construction projects. Essential Responsibilities: Perform drill locating activities, including tracking bore paths and guiding directional drilling operations Guide directional drilling operations to ensure safe and precise installation of underground utilities Support box locating, conduit installation for various cables, installation of pedestals and concrete bases, flush-mount vaults, and enclosures Operate locating equipment and related tools to protect existing utilities and infrastructure Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision Install conduit, vaults, cable etc. i.e. doing labor work when not locating Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by following company policies, CVOR guidelines, and safe work practices at all times Work in confined areas as required Handle and distribute construction materials, including loading and unloading vehicles and removing debris from work sites Qualifications Proven directional drilling locating experience, including use of the Falcon F5 locating system Must have previous experience in telecommunications utility construction Valid Full G driver''s license Clean driver''s abstract and CVOR Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and utility locates Ability to track and communicate daily production and materials Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple project stakeholders Work Conditions: Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.) Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations Work is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions Compensation $ $44.82 per hour This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
