About the Opportunity The Associate Director, Supplemental Proposals & Stewardship plays a critical cross-functional role between the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto, The integrated Development team, and UJA''s Community Capacity Building team, as well as other program delivery teams across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Stewardship and Impact, this role supports the design and delivery of an innovative stewardship and donor engagement approach that enhances the fundholder and donor experience. The Associate Director contributes to strategies and solutions that deepen donor engagement through thoughtful stewardship, compelling storytelling, and strong collaboration across fundraising and program teams. This includes donor communication and recognition, stewardship execution, data analysis and reporting, operational systems and support, funding opportunities, and impact reporting. By effectively connecting programmatic priorities with donor interests, the Associate Director helps advance meaningful philanthropic investments in the Toronto Jewish community, in Israel, and globally. As a key member of the Foundation team, the Associate Director is motivated to achieve individual and team goals while contributing to UJA''s broader stewardship objectives. Key Responsibilities Partner with Philanthropic Advisory, Community Capacity Building, impact and other internal teams to support and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy that enhances the donor and fundholder experience. Support Philanthropic Advisors by developing personalized funding opportunities and tailored stewardship and impact reports for fundholders and donors. Lead the development of high-quality proposals and stewardship materials that demonstrate the outcomes of community investments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Translate complex program outcomes into clear, engaging, and inspiring narratives that highlight impact and foster long-term donor engagement. Serve as a thought partner in identifying and piloting innovative approaches to fundholder engagement across the Jewish Foundation portfolio. Support fundholder cultivation, stewardship, and retention through strategic and personalized touchpoints aligned with donor interests and granting activity. Act as a strategic partner to Philanthropic Advisors by providing insight, coordination, and guidance to ensure cohesive and donor-centered funding opportunities. Collaborate with the content and communications team to develop consistent, high-quality, and meaningful messaging for fundholders. Deliver value-added impact information and insights to Philanthropic Advisors that can be shared regularly with donor portfolios. Develop and monitor tracking metrics related to donor engagement, granting patterns, and interests, and assess the effectiveness of stewardship efforts to inform future strategies. Align with the Impact and Stewardship team to support the production of curated impact materials for leading donors, as required. Ensure that all donor-facing materials align with UJA''s values, brand, and communications standards. Qualifications Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience 5-10 years of similar or related experience. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messages Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to manage projects from concept through execution Strategic and critical thinking skills, with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities High attention to detail and sound judgment Demonstrated creativity and adaptability in professional settings Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Experience with design, branding, marketing, or communications is an asset * This is a full-time permanent position. Salary Range: $87,000$98,000 annually, based on experience. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
