Vulcraft Canada, Inc, A Division of Nucor Corporation is currently looking for aGeneral Labourer to join our Leduc, Alberta team. JOB DESCRIPTION The General Labourer is responsible for safely assisting all Production, Maintenance, and Shipping Teammates in their daily task as well as helping to maintain a safe and organized facility. RESPONSIBILIITIES Work in a safe manner and follow all company safety rules and safe operating processes. Assist with performing daily inspections on various pieces of equipment. Assist keeping the facility in a neat and organized manner. Empty garbage and recycling bins throughout the shop. Operating forklifts as required within company safe practice procedures. Utilize overhead crane and no touch tools to perform daily assigned tasks. Capable of assisting with various areas of joist and deck production, as well as performing any other tasked assigned by your supervisor. Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean an orderly condition. Be willing to learn and help the team succeed wherever possible. QUALIFICATIONS General knowledge of equipment operation. Good mechanical and equipment aptitude. Machine operating experience is considered an asset. High School Diploma. Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset.
