Production Technicians play a key role within Redlen in creating high-quality, high-performance radiation detectors for timely delivery to our medical and security imaging customers around the world. As a production technician at Redlen your role might include crystal growth, cutting and polishing wafers, highly detailed production in a clean room, testing and measuring components against specifications or assembling a completed module. Duties & Responsibilities: Follow all workplace EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) protocols Interpret and complete work orders in an accurate and efficient manner to meet production goals Inspect and test products in compliance with QMS (Quality Management System) objectives and SOPs Consistently update and maintain accurate Production Process records Perform routine set up, calibration and maintenance of equipment Identify and communicate any production issues for continuous improvement Monitor use and inventory of process materials/chemicals and supplies to ensure adequate inventory is on hand. Maintain plant and work area cleanliness following 5S methodology Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience operating complex production equipment preferred Ability to read, understand and follow technical SOPs (Standard Operating Instructions) in English. Strong safety orientation Previous experience assembling electronics, semiconductors or similar equipment is preferred. High school graduation is essential, a related technical college diploma is considered an asset Familiarity with and ability to operate electronic equipment Computer literacy is a must We value commitment to safety standards and training, effective communication, good time management, personal responsibility, careful adherence to quality standards and respect for the work environment and team members. Departments: CZT Operations (crystal growth, furnace operations, wafer & chip cutting) Strong observation skills and interest in mechanical systems and instruments. Curious with ability to follow defined SOP''s and safety protocols, ability to lift up to 15kg. Lap & Polish Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Manual dexterity and attention to detail Clean Room Strong attention to detail (including clean room and safety protocols) and manual dexterity for handling delicate components such as dies and sensors. competence in Basic computer skills and data logging ( to record process parameters, yield data, and equipment performance metrics.) Test and Assembly Comfortable with Basic Computer skill/Documentation skills Manual dexterity/Line assembly/Mechanical Assembly Metrology: Proficient in operating a variety of tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and optical and digital microscopes. Attention to detail, demonstrated through accuracy and precision of data reading, documentation and record-keeping, identify trends and inconsistencies, patience and concentration when working with delicate equipment and performing complex measurements. Shifts and Work Requirements: Day: 6:00am - 2:30pm Afternoon: 2:00pm - 10:30pm Night: 10:00pm - 6:30am May require the ability to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs. May require extended periods of repetitive motion with arms and hands. May require the ability to stand for extended periods of time. This is a full-time on-site role, and all applicants must be legally eligible to work for Redlen Technologies in Canada. It is uncommon to be hired at the top of the range; however, in exceptional cases where a candidate''s skills and expertise significantly exceed the role''s requirements, we may consider offering a higher salary.
