We are the McCubbin family, located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and we are currently seeking a nurturing and responsible nanny (or a team of them) to care for our 15 month old while we work. We are open to various arrangements but would require an irregular schedule that would likely total up to 200hrs of childcare a month in a combination of on call here at our home and actually caring for our daughter here. Even if you could only offer a few chunks of time a month we would still love to hear from you. We know we will likely need to piece together a range of childcare solutions to make this go well! I''m a midwife so we need someone to be available at our home during my on call and clinic hours. We are flexible with living arrangements, so we welcome both live-in (there is a spare queen bed in the basement) and live-out candidates but I need to be able to get to the hosptial within 30minutes of a page so having care in our home is ideal. Overnight care would be required when I''m on call incase I have to leave for a birth during the night. Full time would likely look like 7 full days and nights on call where you care for our daughter at our home if I have visits or assessments or births, 2 days where you care for her while I''m in clinic, and 5 days off. The position offers an hourly wage of $20. Our primary goal is to ensure the best possible care for our daughter so we are seeking someone (or many someones) with experience in infant care who demonstrates warmth and reliability.
