About the role Position: Permanent full-time nanny/housekeeper Start date: As soon as possible Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, except statutory holidays Hourly Wage: $22-24 depending on experience About our family Hello there! We are the Sellers! Our children are nearly 6 and just over 2 and a half. We are looking for a nanny to take our 5 year old to school (about 10-15 minute walk from our home) and look after our 2.5 year old for the morning/afternoon and pick up the older child at 3pm. Our 2.5 year old will start pre school 2 afternoons a week in January. Ideally, you will drop her off at pre school (about a 30 minute walk or 20 minutes via transit). We are hoping you can do some light housekeeping during that down time before picking our oldest up from school at 3. We live in the Sunset/Punjabi neighbourhood, which is very close to Sunset community centre, several parks, playgrounds, a Strong Start centre, and many transit options that connect us with the rest of the city. About You We are looking for a vibrant, energetic, and caring nanny, who is able to create a safe and stimulating environment. Great communication skills with the adults, and sense of humour, are also a huge plus! Must be okay with dog as we have a friendly 9 year old hypoallergenic dog who will be in the home while you are. We live in a beautiful, walkable, and child-friendly neighbourhood, and so the ideal applicant will want to get outside and explore our neighbourhood with our little ones as much as possible. Qualifications Previous experience working in a nanny/nanny share arrangement Proof of valid first aid certification (CPR/AED Level C training) A clear criminal record check Proof of ability to legally work in Canada At least two local references Active ECE certification a plus Completed Responsible Adult training a plus Responsibilities General care of our children Engaging in indoor and outdoor playtime Feeding (1 meal and snacks), some dinner/meal prep Light housekeeping (sweeping/vacuuming/general tidying/organizing, some laundry) Opportunity to do babysitting on weekends as needed (date nights and such) Dog walking occasionally If you are interested in this role, our family would love to hear from you!
