(TCS) is seeking a Senior Ecologist with 10+ years of experience who has strong understanding of the regulatory environment in Alberta and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to support regulatory applications along with complex work in ecology. The position will oversee work related to ecology and rangeland management, wetland assessments, wetland creation, habitat assessments, wildlife surveys, terrestrial vegetation inventories, and rare plant surveys. This position will support a team of ecologists and does not require expertise in every subject area. The position will work on a mix of projects including regulatory applications, ecology and management planning, and restoration ecology. The position is suited to a motivated, detail-oriented professional who can work independently, has strong technical writing skills and project management skills. While skills in all disciplines are not required, knowledge in rangeland ecology, wildlife, wetlands, vegetation, soils, reclamation, and ecology is an asset.
