Schedule: Monday Friday, weekly rotation on the following shifts: 8am-4pm/10am-6pm/1:30pm-9pm; weekends approximately one weekend every 4-5 weeks (Saturday & Sunday) Location: 41 Brockley Drive, Hamilton ON Coordinate daily supervision of all activities involved in providing medications to homecare patients in accordance with established corporate procedures and provincial pharmacy laws Control processes to ensure products meet professional and corporate standards of accuracy and quality Supervise technical staff and coordinate pharmacy activities with distribution and order entry Communicate with customers regarding pharmacy services and clarify issues with physicians, nurses and other pharmacists Coordinate all activities related to prescription dispensing, including: Supervise all activities related to dispensing to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations Ensure appropriate clinical functions are completed including patient counseling and documentation Direct and prioritize the production process using professional knowledge to recognize critical customer needs Utilize pharmaceutical literature and Calea SOPs for judgment in compounding admixtures Incorporate SOPs or policy requirements into daily procedures and ensure staff follow them Establish, validate and maintain quality assurance procedures and records Observe and assess equipment, materials and procedures and recommend changes where appropriate Participate in departmental clinical and quality improvement initiatives Engage in or supervise drug preparation activities Qualifications Minimum university undergraduate degree in pharmacy Licensed in the province of Ontario Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and management, including external clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with an exceptional telephone manner Human Resources We are a community partner and licensed Pharmacy, providing expert solutions and support resources to healthcare professionals, hospitals, patients and their caregivers, and home care programs across the country.
