Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Project Quality Specialist to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry. Note Onsite Must be willing and able to travel to the USA (020%), without restrictions, effective on the start date Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record Responsibilities Developing and executing standardization of manufacturing quality enablers Performing root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problemsolving tools (KepnerTregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments, etc.) recommending and implementing costeffective permanent corrective actions Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators, manage engineering changes working with a crossfunctional team to ensure timely execution Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation and will be the point of contact for engineering quality and all productrelated incidents Ensure delivery of thirdparty quality metrics, provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities Proven track record of developing and executing standardization and experience with having crossfunctional responsibilities in a lean organization Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment Possess strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership Establish partnerships both internally and externally should be able to influence without direct authority Demonstrate commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer, represent the Voice of the Customer to the platform teams and contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements and exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Reactive Black Belt and Green Belt training and completed projects A minimum of 10 years of Powertrain Manufacturing or Engineering experience A minimum of 5 years Powertrain Quality experience Thorough understanding of Engines & Driveline components Thorough understanding of Quality and Supplier Operations Thorough understanding of structured problem solving and root cause analysis Ability to stand and be on your feet long periods of time in a manufacturing environment Preferred Skills & Qualifications Black Belt or Green Belt certification Experience launching engine program Manufacturing, design release, and/or supplier quality experience are strongly desired Knowledge of engines, transmissions, and driveline components strongly desired Experience working in a lean/flat organization with cross functional skills Work with internal teams to develop and implement integrated content required to drive growth and maximize customer value Provide creative thinking to the analysis of data and the identification of new opportunities Ability to lead without direct authority Ability to build partnerships both internally and externally Capable of planning and prioritizing including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create action plans Experience and ability to follow ISO/TS16949 and APQP processes to launch and monitor engine manufacturing The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing and executing standardization, especially within the area of Powertrain The successful candidate must possess outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills The candidate must be a highenergy, handson individual with strength of convictions and leadership presence This person is by nature a risktaker and has a high level of ambition.
