OverviewCarecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (medical/surgical) who are willing to travel to Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area hospitals to join our team. Were ready when you are!Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12 hour shift. This is a casual to a full-time position with flexible shifts. Responsibilities Provide care under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, in accordance with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned. Help foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. Work a full 8-12 hour shift at a single facility for each assignment. Qualifications Applicants must hold a current, active RN practicing license with their provincial College. Transfer of active practicing license will be required with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. Minimum of 6 months of experience in acute care environments, preferably medicine/surgical floors. Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B. Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years. Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider) and current N95 mask fit test certificate. Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire. Flexible to work occasional shifts that are urgent/last-minute/early morning. Please note that, based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
