This flexible position is perfect for musicians who enjoy teaching children and teens in a one-on-one setting. You may offer lessons in students' homes or from your own studio.Teachers must be open to providing a free trial lesson and have a current Vulnerable Sector Check to ensure student safety and parental peace of mind.We welcome teachers of piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, and other instruments who want to share their love of music with young learners.ResponsibilitiesTeach private music lessons at students homes or at your own teaching studioProvide a free trial lesson to new students (3060 minutes)Tailor lesson plans to meet each students learning needs and goalsTeach foundational skills including technique, theory, ear training, and repertoireTrack student progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularlyFoster a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning environmentEnsure punctuality and professional conduct at all timesRequirementsMinimum 2 years of teaching experience (private, studio, or school setting)Proficiency in at least one instrument (piano, voice, guitar, violin, etc.)Ability to travel within the OttawaGatineau area, or host students at your own studioExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be legally authorized to work in CanadaMust provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (or be willing to obtain one)Willingness to offer a free trial lesson to new studentsAssets (Preferred but Not Required)Degree or diploma in Music or equivalent formal trainingExperience preparing students for RCM exams or recitalsBilingual in English and FrenchValid drivers license and access to a vehicleWhy Teach with Educify?Flexible scheduling that fits your availabilityTeach students matched to your instrument, location, and preferencesStrong administrative support for scheduling, payments, and communicationBecome part of a professional and growing education teamHelp families discover the joy of music in a trusted, safe learning environmentTo Apply:Send your resume and a brief cover letter to or apply at educify.org/teacher.
