About the Role Were looking for a calm, capable, and people-focused Service Manager with strong HVAC/R field experience, proven performance, and confident leadership. In this role, youll lead a high-caliber team of skilled technicians and help them continue to do their best work through clear direction, strong support, and a consistent focus on training, safety, quality, and client care. This is a great fit for someone whos technically strong, highly organized, and comfortable guiding a fast-moving service department while maintaining exceptional client service standards. Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Gas A or Gas B Fitter certification 10+ years commercial, residential or combined HVAC/R Strong technology skills (comfortable with tablets/phones, dispatch software, digital work orders, email/calendar, and troubleshooting apps/tools) Legally entitled to work in Canada Bonus: Experience as a Service Manager and/or Lead Technician What Youll Do Lead a high-caliber team of service and installation technicians with clear direction, coaching, and troubleshooting support Help set the tone for a respectful, accountable, high-performing team culture Support training, mentoring, and consistent standards across workmanship and client experience Client Experience & Service Excellence Handle escalations calmly and professionally, focusing on fair solutions and clear communication Ensure clients receive proactive updates and a true five-star service experience Maintain quality control and consistency across service calls, paperwork, and follow-up Scheduling, Workflow & Operational Excellence Work closely with CSR/dispatch to prioritize calls, assign the right tech to the right job, and keep days running smoothly Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation (notes, photos, parts, recommendations) Identify patterns and opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce callbacks, and strengthen internal systems Safety & Standards Promote safe work practices, code compliance, and company standards Support clean documentation and consistent procedures across the team What You Bring A steady, solutions-first mindset you can manage busy days with poise and clarity Strong communication skills (with technicians, clients, and internal teams) Excellent organization and prioritization you know what matters most right now Pride in doing things right the first time, and helping others do the same A long-term mindset you enjoy building and improving something over time This role is ideal for someone looking for a long-term fit who values consistency, leadership, and shared success.
