The role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain and Operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting, support strategic decision-making, and drive process improvements. This role has the possibility for extension or to go permanent. Key Responsibilities As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records while supporting organizational objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Fixed Assets Management: Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, record additions and disposals, and book monthly depreciation in line with IFRS. Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Inventory Accounting: Oversee all inventory-related accounting, including valuation, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing financial entries. Reconcile accounts to support accurate financial reporting and operational decision-making. Capex and Project Accounting: Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to track capital expenditures and reconcile project costs. Ensure accurate capitalization of assets under construction and proper financial documentation. Intercompany Accounting: Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and recharges. Ensure proper documentation and elimination entries for consolidated reporting. Balance Sheet & Audit Support: Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and working papers. Lead preparation of schedules and supporting documentation for annual and internal audits. Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide insightful analysis and commentary on variances to support business decisions. Process Improvement & Collaboration: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve reporting accuracy. Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and collaborate across departments to ensure financial data integrity. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA designation or progress toward certification required. Minimum of 5 years experience in a management or general accounting role, including monthend close and financial reporting. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems preferred. Strong Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools. Solid understanding of IFRS and internal control principles. Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
