With continued workforce expansion, I the focus is on development, management and implementation of frameworks and programs to: increase Indigenous workforce participation, build required workforce skill sets, train existing staff to maximise opportunities for business development and quality of care, build workforce pathways, create and nurture an innovative, inclusive, reflective and respectful environment built on Aboriginal Ways.The purpose of the position is to:Develop and coordinate higher-education Work Integrated Learning Projects across a wide range of disciplines across the SEQ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services and other locations (e.g. schools and kindys).Support career navigation and further study pathways for staff in line with the workforce initiatives for IUIH.Your day to day duties may include:* Coordination of Work Integrated learning project placements, across the IUIH Network, including development of new opportunities and supervision of some projects/students.* Develop, deliver and maintain student orientation processes and packages, particularly focussed on project placement support and build capacity within the ATSICCHSs, including new opportunities for student projects aligned to the regional workforce development strategy.* Support supervisors in project work.* Work 1:1 with staff to support career development including identifying opportunities for growth and pathways into further study where relevant.* Provide mentoring support to empower employees to grow professionally and prepare for future opportunities within the organisation.* Contribute to and maintain IUIH database.* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)* Current Criminal History Check* Current Working with Childrens Check (QLD Blue Card)* Qualification in Health or other relevant discipline**Desirable, but not mandatory:*** Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities*At IUIH we recognise that we operate in a diverse community and welcome and encourage applications from all ages and genders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, the LGBTIQ+ community, veterans, refugees, and people with disability.** At IUIH Our Collectivity is Our Strength.* We are a diverse and inclusive workplace that invites applications from all people.* Be part of Australias largest community controlled Aboriginal Health Service.* Access to Growing Our Own Opportunities through in-house training and programs.* Weekly Staff Wellness activities and all staff Gather and Grow yarns and award ceremonies.* Opportunities to attend community events such as NAIDOC, Rugby League Carnivals and more.* Onsite Prestos Caf at our Windsor Office providing a range of hot and cold beverages and healthy breakfast and lunch options. #J-18808-Ljbffr
