Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is seeking aPlanning Leadwith demonstrated healthcare capital project experience to join our Capital Planning and Redevelopment team. RVH is the largest health centre in the Simcoe Muskoka region, located in Barrie, just 80 kilometers north of Toronto. These projects include Ontario Ministry of Health (MOH) funded Capital Projects, Own Funds capital projects and other large equipment replacements and renovations. Reporting to the Manager, the Project Lead will facilitate discussions with a multi-disciplinary team of hospital professionals, department stakeholders, architects and consultants in the planning and design requirements. Use critical thinking to ensure risks to the building and operations are mitigated and project objectives are delivered on-time and on-budget according to define scope, timeline and cost parameters. Plan, schedule, and control all design and construction activities toward these objectives, applying technical skills and judgement on design and construction, while building positive professional relationships with internal and external partners. Education: An accredited degree or diploma specific to Architecture, Engineering or interior design. Experience: 5 years experience leading planning, design and/or construction projects, and 3 years of working in the process to plan and manage large capital ranging in size 2 years practical experience managing and mitigating risks in new construction and renovations with acute healthcare settings in the Ministry of Health Capital Planning Framework Working knowledge of risk management and mitigation in healthcare construction projects. CSA Z8000 and Ontario Building code construction documentation, and ability to coordinate plans between various trades and disciplines. practical application of procurement methods for design and construction services ranging in size. Demonstrated ability to plan and manage budgets for large capital projects. coordinate plans between various trades and disciplines Ability to prioritize work tasks, meet deadlines and manage complex projects.
