About The Position This is a fulltime support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Institutional Intelligence & Deputy Registrar, working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $43.61. This position supports datainformed decisionmaking and digital service delivery at the College. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining data products (e.g., dashboards, reports, models) to support decisionmaking and webbased applications that meet institutional requirements. Key functions include data analysis, visualization, and integration; fullstack development of internal web tools; and collaboration with stakeholders to define technical specifications and deliver solutions. The role emphasizes adherence to data governance standards, accessibility compliance, and effective project execution across both data and web development domains. Specific Accountabilities Web Services Development, Support and Responsibilities Collaborate with content creators to recommend and implement new web features aligned with college priorities and branding. Design, develop, and maintain accessible, userfriendly websites and applications that support enrolment and stakeholder engagement. Coordinate tasks with internal teams and external contributors to maintain site relevance and performance. Integrate APIs and ensure web systems meet functional and compliance standards to promote Data Products. Gather user requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical solutions through coding, testing, and documentation. Liaise with IT staff and software vendors to resolve infrastructure and application issues. Data Product Development Employ a structured process for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining data products that transform raw data into insights, including: Defining business goals and outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders. Identifying data sources, stakeholders, and use cases. Designing an appropriate data product. Developing using appropriate tools, pipelines, and models. Testing and validating to ensure data quality and accuracy. Tracking usage and performance. Continuously improving and iterating deployed data products in consultation with end users. Maintaining thorough knowledge documentation and data governance practices. Support Cyclical Reporting Support the validation process of Ministry reporting including Enrolment audits, CSER files, Graduate files, and Strategic Mandate Agreement (SMA). Preparation of annual Program Scorecards. Preparation of annual reports that support Decision Support strategies; for example, program reflection reports and institutional survey results. Ensure adequate measures are in place to maintain integrity of data. Qualifications 3year diploma/degree in Computer Programming / Computer Science, Data Science. 3 years practical experience developing websites or web services. Experience with SQL and Visual Studio is required. Skills & Abilities Additional experience with Python is preferred. PowerBI and other Microsoft Tools. Colleague or equivalent ERP. Generative AI applications to Data Analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Innovative & creative, with demonstrated problem solving skills.
