Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a change? A Functional Nurse Assessor role with ExamWorks could provide that new direction in your healthcare career. We provide thorough and impartial assessments to assist claimants in being awarded the Personal Independent Payment benefit. As a Functional Nurse Assessor, you will join an established team of health professionals who conduct daily assessments to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) review and make important decisions. This role allows you to move away from handson patient care and focus on assessing how conditions impact daytoday life, improving assessment skills, evaluating situations and making pivotal clinical recommendations. An ideal candidate is compassionate, empathetic, possesses extensive medical knowledge, and has strong computer skills and time management. Extensive training is provided to help you transition into this new career. You will begin with a 6week period (Monday Friday, 08:30 16:30) which will be conducted both remotely and onsite at our training centres. The training covers eLearning, classroom instruction, practical sessions and mentorship. After completion, you will continue to develop with ongoing guidance and support. We believe progression is vital. Once comfortable, potential career paths include Clinical Support Lead, Mentor, Trainer, Interviewer and more. What you can expect to be doing Carry out assessments via telephone from home and facetoface at your nearest assessment centre Use your clinical knowledge to analyse information and supporting evidence Compile comprehensive reports of 3,000 4,000 words, with justification and evidence, to support DWP decisions (3 per day) Develop any gaps in your clinical knowledge by learning about various health conditions Attend additional training and CPD sessions What we need from you Minimum one year postqualification experience as a Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Valid PIN and full registration with your regulatory body (NMC or HCPC) with no conditions or restrictions Excellent communication skills listening, exploring and empathy li>Good time management ability to meet targets while producing quality reports Good computer literacy and comfort with typing Working hours We offer full and parttime contracts after the initial 5week training period. Options: 3 days (22.5 hours), 4 days (30 hours), or 5 days (37.5 hours), Monday Friday 08:30 16:30. Who are ExamWorks?
