Our Toronto and Vaughan offices are hiring Senior Accountants for our Public Company practice in the following client groups:CIM (Consumer and Industrial Markets)Asset Management (Funds, Real Estate, Construction)FI (Banks, Credit Unions and Insurance)TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications)ENR (Utility, Large Mining) KPMG's Audit practice helps clients manage risk so they can focus on their core businesses. By intimately understanding the client's business, we convert information into insights to uncover hidden opportunities to improve client efficiency and performance. What You Will Do Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements.Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for both public and private companies.Leadership of field engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members.Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.Perform financial and systems analysis.Develop and maintain relationships with clients What You Bring To The Role Must have relevant post-secondary degreeEnrolment in the CPA Canada professional education program or holding another nationally recognized professional accounting designation an asset2+ years post graduate experience in external audit of publicly listed entities (PCAOB, IFRS and/or US GAAP)Excellent project management, teamwork and interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environmentEffectively monitor multiple or complex projects regularly to check progression against deadlines and budgetExcellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and maintain strong client relationshipsDedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service while demonstrating professionalism in the performance of dutiesUses previous experience and technical knowledge to the benefit of the clientAble to use a range of techniques to analyze an issue KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $66,500 to $99,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicants base salary within this range is based on the individuals location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications.
