Based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, our client is a well-established and leading insurance brokerage with over 20 years in the industry. They are currently looking to add an experienced Controller to their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience. About the Position Reporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for, but not limited to: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, revenue recognition, and cash flow analysis. Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide updated financial projections to support business planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and facilitate an efficient audit process. Analyze financial metrics, KPIs, and revenue reports to ensure accuracy and provide performance insights. Oversee IT systems, HR, strategic initiatives, and property management functions. Support ad hoc projects as needed. Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience Diploma or degree in accounting Insurance accounting experience is an asset 5 days in office role.
