We're committed to nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where innovation shapes the future of nutritional health.Position SummaryThe Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and expediting the purchase of goods and services to support Bioriginals operations, ensuring cost-effective procurement, quality, and timely delivery.Responsibilities & ExpectationsStrategic InitiativesSupport Global Strategic Sourcing projects, including evaluations, contract setup, and management.Identify, track, and report on strategic purchasing opportunities and initiatives.Negotiate competitive pricing, delivery, and payment terms for critical items.Analyze market trends and provide insights to support informed purchasing decisions.Sourcing & ProcurementProcess purchase requisitions for materials and services from end users.Request and evaluate quotes to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.Assess grain quality through sampling and testing to meet company standards.Expedite orders and resolve any issues related to grain quality or delivery.Collaborate with logistics on shipment requirements and monitor freight costs.Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory levels, and supplier information.Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.Vendor & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, and brokers.Track supplier performance metrics and manage performance improvements.Onboard new suppliers and manage ongoing contracts and agreements.Monitor and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.Desired QualificationsBachelors degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.Prior experience in grain buying, procurement, or related agricultural roles.Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.Knowledge of agricultural products, grain quality standards, and industry regulations.Experience with ERP systems, purchasing, and supply chain logistics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and market analysis tools.Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.What Do We Offer?Comprehensive Pension PlanExtended Health & Wellness CoverageCompany Paid Time OffLeadership Development & Career AdvancementWorkLife BalanceFree On-Site Parking #J-18808-Ljbffr
