This role is essential to supporting safe, reliable operations and contributes directly to our Core Purpose: Building Positive Change in Our Communities. The successful candidate will demonstrate our Core Values of Commitment, Attitude, and Respect through their workmanship, professionalism, and interactions with the team. Qualified apprentices will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on on-road heavy-duty trucks and equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Complete service and repair work according to manufacturer, industry, and regulatory standards Conduct inspections and ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and road-ready Maintain accurate records of service, inspections, and repairs Work independently in the shop, in the field, or on-road environments Support a strong safety culture through safe work practices and compliance Required Qualifications Journeyperson On-Road Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or a qualified apprentice apprentice in the trade Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Valid driver''s licence Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship Preferred Assets (Not Required) CVIP certification Maintenance and repair experience of street sweepers Strong electrical, emissions, and hydraulic diagnostic skills Role Expectations Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed during peak season Must maintain respectful, professional communication and support a positive team culture About O''Hanlon Paving For nearly 70 years, O''Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group, has helped shape Edmonton''s roadways.
