The Project Manager plays a crucial role in driving project success by effectively managing resources, risks, stakeholders, and project execution to deliver results that meet or exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, resources, and budgetary requirements. This involves breaking down project deliverables into actionable tasks, estimating time and resource requirements, and creating schedules. Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget. CAD support for products, R&D initiatives, CAPEX projects, maintenance, and operations for facilities. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes. This involves regularly assessing risks throughout the project lifecycle and implementing appropriate measures to address them. Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners, to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns. Foster positive relationships and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively. Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members and stakeholders. This includes conducting regular meetings, providing progress reports, and resolving conflicts or issues that may arise during the project. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality throughout the project by establishing processes for quality assurance and quality control. Monitor deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements and address any deviations promptly. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources effectively by assessing impacts, obtaining approvals, and adjusting plans as necessary to accommodate changes while minimizing disruption. Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce project costs where possible. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and performance. Regularly track KPIs and generate reports to update stakeholders on project status, achievements, and challenges. Closure and Evaluation: Coordinate project closure activities, including final deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder acceptance. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned, areas for improvement, and best practices to inform future projects. Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively, motivate team members, and resolve conflicts to ensure project success. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle. This includes adherence to project management methodologies and best practices. Skills, Abilities & Equipment Operated: Leadership and collaborative spirit to engage teams to achieve business results. Ability to multitask multiple projects while respecting deadlines and priorities. Strong decision-making skills and results-driven approach. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion. Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication. Excellent organization and leadership skills. Ability to uphold regulatory, company and customer standards. Minimum Qualifications (Education): Degree in maintenance, engineering, or related discipline Proficient in Lean Principles: Problem Solving, Flow, Standard Work, and Continuous Improvement Proficient in MS Word, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Power Point, CAD (Solid Works/AutoCAD), CMMS, and ERP software Previous Experience Required 3-5+ years of relevant experience 3-5 years of people management experience Prior experience in pulp and paper industry is preferred. the packaging and /or pulp and paper industry is preferred.
