DUTIES Directs and performs the varnish impregnation process of both large and small coils with the he when required, this includes both department 9 and 18 Final check of all coils, frames, packing etc. before varnish Final visual check on all coils for varnish Prepare varnished coils for core and coil assembly Maintain cleanliness of Varnish and Oven System - empty trays when required, replace grate Heating coils in oven if required Perform induced and ground testing before varnish (when needed) Prepare coils for varnish & heating coils in oven if required Placing them in vacuum and impregnation tanks Draining of coils and placing in oven to bake Dips coils following specified practices Sorts coils and deliver to storage area Required to maintain an adequate supply of varnish, thinners, and other necessary material QUALIFICATIONS: Have good knowledge of coil construction, core construction, coil supports etc Must be familiar with vacuum tanks, dip tanks, drying ovens, varnish trucks, cranes & forklifts Full-time Hourly Starting Rate - $28.22 Shift and Premium Pay Available: $1.00/hr. Afternoon shift premium $2.50/hr. Dedicated trainer premium $3.00/hr. Shift advisor premium Full range - $ $35.87 as per the collective agreement''
