Stikeman Elliott''s Toronto office is excited to offer a coop/internship opportunity for students interested in exploring a career in legal administration. Whether you''re enrolled in a law clerk or paralegal program, studying legal administration, or simply hoping to build strong professional administrative skills, this internship provides valuable practical experience, mentorship, and exposure to a fastpaced legal environment. A typical internship placement is four weeks in length and five days on-site. Providing students with a focused and meaningful experience that offers substantial exposure to the daytoday work of a legal administrative team. What You''ll Do As an intern on our Administrative Services team, you''ll work closely with our Legal Administrative Assistants and lawyers to support daytoday operations, including: Assisting with legal document preparation, formatting, and organization Supporting client file management and maintaining accurate records Helping with calendar and email organization, scheduling, and time management tasks Preparing basic materials for billing and accounts support Assisting with marketing and business development tasks as needed Helping coordinate small projects and administrative initiatives Providing general administrative support to our legal teams This internship will give you handson exposure to how a corporate law firm operates and allows you to develop skills that are highly valued across the legal and administrative professions. What We''re Looking For We welcome applications from students who are: Currently enrolled in a legal administration, law clerk, paralegal, business administration, or related postsecondary program Interested in building practical administrative and legal skills Comfortable learning new software and tools - especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot) Organized, detailoriented, and eager to produce high-quality work Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing Discreet and professional when working with confidential information Friendly, proactive, and excited to contribute to a collaborative team environment Don''t worry if you don''t have prior law firm experience - that''s what internships are for We''re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
